What started as an architecture career, turned out into a creative journey bigger than the buildings I thought I will ever build. In short, I’m an architect of my own mind, putting thoughts in the right shape and context. After studying and getting a Master’s Degree in Architecture, I started working in the advertising industry in my first agency Momentum/McCann Bucharest. Even if I was more of a self-taught creative, I had to sharpen my instincts and improve my conceptual thinking at Miami Ad School Europe following the Art Direction Portfolio Program. During the Quarter Aways, part of the program, I worked in 3 agencies from New York: 360i, Droga5, Tbwa\Chiat\Day.

I’m a London born, Bucharest raised writer. Grew up with the best and worst of both sides. I’m good with words, bad at lying, come up with ideas (didn’t say what kind) and generally a good sport.

After studying journalism at the University of Bucharest, I had the opportunity to work and gain experience in agencies like Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi Bucharest, but that was a while ago, before my life took a U-turn and put me in a position that I didn’t want but had to take. And no, it wasn’t prison. I ran my family’s business until the point I realised I was unhappy and decided to go back to my first true love, advertising. I decided to take the portfolio program at Miami Ad School Europe in Hamburg, leading me to an internship in NY at TBWA\Chiat\Day and will start my next step in life interning at Droga5 NY starting July.

I’m open to the world and wherever it may take me.

coisaderalph.squarespace.com

Hey! I’m Ralph Andrade, 28 years old. I’m a Brazilian student and art director who, since childhood, imitated TV advertisements. I tried to be an actor, but I fell in love with the other side of cameras.

I left the south of Brazil, no money, with a single certainty: to be a creative in Rio de Janeiro. I worked as a store salesman, DJ and event producer to graduate in Advertising.

In 2018, I was selected by the Miami Ad School Brazil social program and I won a scholarship in Art Direction, being awarded twice as the best student at the school. Since then, I won more than 15 national and international awards in my portfolio.

I worked in small and medium sized regional agencies and currently I work at W/McCann Rio, creating for clients like L’Óreal Paris, Coca-Cola, Americanas Store and Estácio de Sá University.

Always involved in social movements, in 2011 I was a diversity manager at AIESEC (the world’s largest student organization, affiliated to the United Nations). Also in 2018, I became a member of the LGBTQI + diversity committee at the Binder agency, promoting education and social integration actions.

Of humble origin, I work for more inclusion and representativeness in advertising, looking for simple and creative solutions that positively impact clients and society. And my mother’s life, of course.

Patricia Macedo

Miami Ad School Escola de Criatividade

Winning Work: Havianas Sun Check

patriciamacedo.com

I like to say that I’m a storyteller. My name is Patricia, but you can call me Paty. I started writing in childhood, because the cartoons I used to watch on TV weren’t enough to calm down my imagination.

I always knew that in one way my profession would be linked to writing. It could be cinema, because it’s another passion of mine. Even literature. But my parents said “no, you’re gonna starve to death!”. Look where I came to: in advertising. I wonder every day if I’m not going to starve.

Jokes aside, getting here wasn’t easy. I grew up in a humble family with parents who worked so hard and still do to make sure we don’t miss anything at home. I was an athlete for many years and it taught me to be a very determined person. When I set out to do something, I don’t give up until get it done.

I graduated in Advertising in PUC-Rio, one of the best universities in Brazil. My anxiety and desire to do more took me to Miami Ad School to study copywriting. I was awarded once as the best student of school and international recognition there. I currently work at Propeg, one of the most creative and fastest growing agencies in Rio de Janeiro, where I’ve also won some national awards.

Being a copywriter is a daily exercise of creativity and overcoming. And get recognized at 28 years old, after going through some difficult time, is one of the best gifts I could ever get.
