Mike Sutherland, Executive Creative Director, Adam&EveDDB

Mike Sutherland is Executive Creative Director at adam&eveDDB, one of the most consistently awarded creative agencies on the global stage. 
 
Alongside his creative partner Ant Nelson and Chief Creative Officer, Richard Brim, Mike leads the agency’s creative department and oversees its entire creative output across key local and global accounts including PlayStation, CALM, Marmite and Volkswagen. 
 
In 2023, Mike was named Ad Age’s Creative Director of the Year, and is known for his diverse portfolio of work, from CALM’s Project 84, which saw the appointment of the first ever UK Minister for Suicide Prevention, to epic blockbuster films for PlayStation. Creative highlights include John Lewis’ 2018 Christmas campaign featuring Elton John, an Emmy nomination for International Paralympic Committee’s #WeThe15, D&AD Black Pencil winning campaign ‘Hopeline19’ for Frontline19. More recently Mike led the creative on ‘Babyscan’ for Marmite, which picked up two Gold and Bronze Cannes Lions respectively, and ‘The Last Photo’ for CALM, which was the most awarded campaign at Cannes Lions Festival 2023.  
 
During his tenure, adam&eveDDB has won Cannes Agency of the Year, Ad Age International Agency of the Year three times and Cannes Lions European Agency of the Decade. In the past 12 months, adam&eveDDB has been named D&AD Agency of the Year, British Arrows Agency of the Year, Campaign BIG Agency of the Year, Shots EMEA Agency of the Year and Cannes Lions UK Agency of the Year, picking up a total of 19 Lions, including Grand Prix in Film for CALM ‘The Last Photo’. 
 
Mike has previously judged at major award shows including D&AD, Clios, British Arrows and Campaign BIGs.
