Alessandra Lariu
McCann NY
Alessandra Lariu — or Ale for short — has 14 years experience in digital. She challenges any other ladies out there for the title of nerdiest woman in advertising. She’s a group Creative Director for McCann in New York working across all clients. Her most recent work for McCann includes the MasterCard Priceless Picks iPhone app, the Nikon Twitter film festival and the SeeSaw iPhone app.
In the UK, Ale has worked for Agency Republic - four times Agency of the Year - and Framfab/ LBi. Her work has won various awards and she has also been a judge at D&AD, OneShow, ADDY’s and BIMA.
Ale loves to talk about all things digital and innovation. She often speaks at conferences like Click and CaT, writes opinion pieces for magazines and blogs. She has also collaborated on two books about digital marketing.
Ale has created a space-time continuum that allows her to also run a successful organization called SheSays with a membership of 3000 women. SheSays helps women in digital through monthly meetings in agencies around the world.
Ale can speak five languages and swear badly in Japanese. She grew up in the Amazon jungle playing with snakes and once lost her Grandma’s pearl necklace after she put it on a runaway chicken.
